Guess what I'm doing this weekend. Guess! Go ahead, you know you want to. No, not that. Nope, not that either. Sure as hell, not that! But, maybe if you included a midget juggling dildoes on a trampoline, I could be into that...
No, I'm going to Louisville on Friday night with Mom to see Gallagher in concert. Yes! Two hours of Sledge-o-Matic, watermelon-smashing goodness. I've been watching this guy's act since I was five years old and he still makes me totally crack up. Plus, ever since Mom had her stroke, she hasn't been too good at controlling emotional outbursts, especially laughter, so I can guarantee she'll probably piss herself before the night is through. That's good times any way you look at it.
Then... THEN, Jason Mraz is coming to a free concert at the Memorial Hall amphitheater next Thursday, so I'm all over that. I'm all about free concerts that are playing just a few blocks from my apartment. Plus, I've been blasting his CD at work, in my car, and at home for the last couple of weeks, so I might as well hear some Mrazzy goodness in yet another environment.
And THEN, Sondre Lerche is going to be up at the Southgate House in Newport on May 17th. I just found out about this guy yesterday (thanks, Lyss) and have already come close to wearing out a CD I burned of hsi music.
I'm just a concert-goin' fool, and I'm loving every second of it.
