Sunday, Mar. 16, 2003 - 11:38 p.m. My extended weekend was relaxing, to say the very least. For three days, my schedule was filled with watching television, exploring Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, eating huge meals, playing pool, relaxing in an outdoor hot tub, sleeping in, and just de-stressing in general. It has been completely refreshing not having to answer phones, go to meetings, or schedule in a lunch break. Alas, I return to the world of the working tomorrow, with less reservation than I usually would on a typical Monday morning. As a result of the relaxing weekend and my car's new muffler, I am now officially broke, however. Usually this would stress me out immensely, but I'm slowly learning that sometimes, money spent for the sake of rest and relaxation is a good investment for myself. I really feel like my life has been a non-stop whirlwind of activity on all fronts recently, so it was good to take some time with good friends to collect myself. I feel great! Now, if only I were on the phone (or even better, sitting next to) my man, I would probably reach the pinnacle of relaxation. Eh, I suppose I don't need too much of a good thing. I am so excited about him seeing me on stage in a couple of weeks! I know already that the night he is in the audience will be my best performance. (I've missed you this week, my radiator.) Speaking of which, I'll be performing on April 3-5 and 12-13. If you are in the area and want time/place info, email me. I'd like to have a big cheering section. Keep in mind, however, that I will be wearing tights as part of my costume. Whether that is a selling point or detraction is completely your prerogative ;-) The weekend did bring a little experimentation with my image... Of course, anybody who knows me at all knows I am too much of a pansy ass to actually pierce my ears (though it would definitely get my pierced, tattooed dad's eternal respect). I think it is a pretty damn sexy look, though, if I do say so myself. Enough rambling for now. My bed is looking more and more inviting by the minute. And with the mild weather outside, I'm looking forward to a night of sleeping with the windows open and the sounds of the city streaming in! 'Night all.
