There's a lot of stuff to cover from the past few days, so I will present it in list form. Why? Because I am lazy and the next five minutes will probably the only free time I have at the office today. So, in no particular order, in Kate format...

1. As I alluded to above, work is hella busy. But, for once I am not complaining about my job! I've been looking at every task piled upon me as yet another instrument added to the great office symphony. The score goes something like this: answer the phone, open an envelope, file a letter, send a fax, answer the phone, check the e-mail, mail an info packet, open an envelope, file a transcript, repeat. I have not once complained about work in the past week, and I think this is due to the fact that I actually have work to do. Imagine that!

2. G-Fresh rolled over 100,000 miles on the way back from Ohio on Sunday, just as I passed the 130 mile marker on Interstate 64 outside Morehead. My little boy's growing up. *sniff*

3. Not even a minute later, traffic was stopped dead for about 45 minutes. Being the consummate drama whore, I instantly started running the worst case scenarios in my head... I had convinced myself that I would have to sleep in my car, but it would snow that night and I would freeze to death. So, I turned on the CD player to The Offspring and started rocking out, because I didn't want to die listening to depressing music. It made total sense at the time.

4. The people in the car next to me slowly reached over to lock their doors when they saw me thrashing about to "Bad Habit." And you would, too if you ever saw me rock it to the "...stupid, dumb-shit, goddamn, MOTHERFUCKER!!!" refrain. I get a little crazy.

5. This weekend I shall go to the homeland. Mom is extremely excited because I agreed to go with her to Louisville to buy living room accessories at Garden Ridge and do lunch at Macaroni Grill. Have I told you that she hasn't been formally clued in on the homosexuality thing? I'm sure she's totally clueless, though. Really. I mean, every straight guy's idea of a fun weekend is shopping for rugs and potted plants with his mother, right? Riiiight...

6. I was hoping to make this weekend the big unveiling to the parents. Unfortunately, I just found out Dad will be working all weekend, thus he will be asleep whenever I am awake. Grrr... timing sucks.

7. I had a Nacho Bellgrande just before going to bed last night. Not such a good idea. I had a strange dream involving Erik Estrada ("Ponch" from CHiPs) and an Ikea store.

8. Erik Estrada has not aged well. Have you seen him in infomercials lately?

9. I went to the Med Center on Tuesday to see a doctor about my laryngitis issues. Two hours waiting and a mountain of paperwork for my HMO just to be told to buy some Dimetapp. I'm so glad that twenty bucks a month is being deducted from my paycheck. Really.

10. Nevertheless, I can actually talk now. It's great! Now, you will never get me to shut up.

11. Josh and I were on the phone for just a little over an hour last night. I dare say that is the record for our shortest conversation ever! I am so completely looking forward to the day he finally gets to visit Lexington.

12. Do you want a cat? Seriously. I came home from work yesterday to two broken lamps. I had hoped to take a little nap before leaving for rehearsal, but I ended up sweeping up glass shards instead.

13. I changed out of my work clothes and into a pair of thin track pants and a t-shirt before I started cleaning up the mess. As I was on the floor picking up the larger pieces of glass, you will not believe what that farking animal did!

14. He bit me in the ass!

15. Take my cat, please.

16. Mister Rogers passed away. I truly am genuinely sad at that. Of all the shows I watched as a child, his is the one that probably influenced me the most. He will be missed.

17. That having been said, did you ever wonder about what really went on with him and Mr. McFeely? Speedy Delivery, indeed.

ADDED AT 9:01 AM

If you have tried to reach me via my cell phone in the past three weeks, you have likely been unsuccessful. I finally charged it up last night, so I am once again mobile. Translation: I will be at the parents' house this weekend, so hook me up with some cell phone love while I'm there. I want them to think I have friends ;-)
